I spent a lot of time crafting a great post earlier in the day only to find it has been censored.

Long story short – the exclusion of Gerrard (best midfielder currently playing), Torres (out and out the best striker in the world) and even nancy-pants Ronaldo is a disgrace.

This blog has become garbage.

I may be off, but I think all 4 of your defenders are central defenders…
Also, as already pointed out, any best XI of the season without Gerrard is ridiculous. And Young? No way!!!
Kevin Davies ahead of Torres? Look at all the big goals Torres has scored this season…

Does it seem to you that including lesser name players is cool and shows off your footballing knowledge? I’m sorry, but that is a pretty poor assessment.

Jagielka is absolutely fine.

But Lampard over Gerrard is a joke (and I’m a Man Utd fan).

Young over Ronaldo is ridiculous (Ronaldo is playing as an out and out winger this season, and is the league’s highest goalscorer. Young had a great first 3 months, but has been crap after that.) I’m bemused.

Anelka also deserves to be up there as striker.

How can you not include Gerrard on this team? He’s better than every midfielder on this list and could even be included as a forward. Hell, he’s outscoring both that you have listed here.
