It’s time for our annual ritual. To put my head on the line, to take the abuse and guffaws and predict how I think the 2011-12 Premier League table will look at the end of the season.
But I’m not doing it alone. I encourage each of you to share how you think the table will finish by posting it in the comments section below.
Before I share my predictions, I want to mention a few disclaimers. First, I’m posting these predictions before the season has started and before the transfer window has closed. A lot can change between now and the end of August. Add to that the possibility that several managers may get sacked during the season as well as ownership changes (such at QPR) could have major impacts on a club’s fortunes on the pitch. One more thing. It’s always the same every season, but a few of the readers post their predictions in January, February or March — which is far easier to do than in early August.
At the end of the season, I’ll go through all of the predictions (including mine and the ones posted by you in the comments section) to see whose prediction was the closest to being perfect. Best of luck.
And now, drumroll please, here is my prediction of how the 2011-12 Premier League table will finish at the end of the season:
- Manchester United (C)
- Manchester City
- Chelsea
- Liverpool
- Arsenal
- Sunderland
- Tottenham Hotspur
- Fulham
- Everton
- Newcastle United
- Aston Villa
- Stoke City
- West Bromwich Albion
- Swansea City
- Norwich City
- Wolverhampton Wanderers
- Bolton Wanderers
- Wigan Athletic (R)
- Queens Park Rangers (R)
- Blackburn Rovers (R)
I still believe that few teams will get in Manchester United’s way of winning a record 20th top flight title this season. Manchester City will give them a run for their money but will ultimately fall short. Chelsea may do better in Europe but still have a lot of work to do in the league to replace an aging (and injury-prone) squad.
I predict that Liverpool will make great strides this season but will be too inconsistent to push higher up the table. Arsenal still flatter to deceive. They’re the purveyors of the best football to watch in the league, but they lack the mental toughness and consistency (as well as depth in key positions) to mount a serious challenge.
Sunderland, with their key acquisitions over the summer, will push up the table. Whether Steve Bruce is at the helm to help them finish in sixth position is questionable, but he’ll definitely get the team half way there until I predict someone else will take over in charge to get them into a European spot. Tottenham meanwhile will suffer from Gareth Bale being found out where clubs will continue to mark him closely and prevent him from being the threat he was the earlier part of last season. The White Hart Lane club will also suffer from a lack of resources up front where they’re stuck with a few strikers that are not up to the level of where Tottenham should be at this time.
Elsewhere in the league table, there are few surprises. Fulham, Everton, Newcastle and Aston Villa will continue to enjoy mid-table safety. Stoke and West Brom will settle for Premier League safety next season. New Premier League manager Brendan Rogers will surprise most pundits by not only keeping Swansea up, but by playing a tactically sound game that will earn precious points when needed to secure Premier League football for another season. Norwich will do well but will lack the striking prowess to move up higher.
In the relegation zone, Wolves and Bolton will struggle but will eventually survive. But Wigan’s long reign in the Premier League will come to an end despite Roberto Martinez’s best attempts, while Queens Park Rangers will suffer from a lack of money spent by their owners. Blackburn Rovers, while starting the season well, will eventually be doomed by Steve Kean’s inability to motivate the squad when they need him the most as well as the Venky’s meddling ways and lack of leadership.
If you agree or disagree with any of the above predictions, please be constructive in your criticism and tell us why you agree or disagree.
And don’t forget to post your own predictions below. Bonus points are awarded for predicting who will win the FA Cup, Carling Cup, Champions League and Europa League.
Agree with the teams in the top 4 but I’d put Liverpool in second, Chelsea in third and City in 4th.
I fear for Newcastle this season!

what do you guys think??
I’d be happy with that.
Newcastle 19th? they probably have the strongest midfield outside top 6, defence is decent, goals will be a problem but Ba didn’t have any problem scoring last year.
Haway man, stop deluding yourself. Your poor defence has just lost its best player, Enrique. Your reasonable midfield has lost its best TWO players, replacing them with bottom of the barrel French nobodies who nobody has heard of, and your “strikeforce” of Ameobi, Best and Ba, is laughable!
Relegation a certainty hahaha!!
Just because your knowledge doesn’t extend past the Premier League doesn’t mean no one else knows who Cabaye, winner of Lique 1 is, bottom of the barrel ok… Enrique best defender are you serious? a miss for sure but only cause we don’t have any cover atm, he makes stupid mistakes by taking people on at LB. Our best midfielder is Ben Arfa and it looks like barton is staying anyway. Leaving us with Guttierez, Marveaux, Tiote, Cabaye, Barton, Ben Arfa and Obertan all first team players then more than adequate cover in Smith, Guthrie, Gosling and Vuckic. Relegation? well that takes me back to my first point your football knowledge is piss poor.
HaHa
I know its easy to say now but that is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Yeah you were right, 10 was wrong by far but I think you mixed up relegation with europa league qualification. Also, what is wrong with a strike force including Ba? Idiot.

Swansea will play nice football, but it cost defensively, lambert will do a good job with Norwich, Newcastle to struggle, Sunderland to be overhyped and underachieve, villa-boas guides chelsea to surprise title.
Even if Liverpool continued with the form they were in at the end of last season they could pip arsenal for fourth. They’ve only gotten stronger, definitely fourth or better.
I believe United will finish top, with Chelsea, City, and Liverpool finishing the top 4. Swansea, Norwich, and Wigan going down.
If Arsenal sell Fabregas and Nasri I don’t believe they will finish in the top 5 at all.

Apples to oranges, son………
Agreed BD, Arsenal has no chance. Would be lucky to finish top 4.
mate liverpool might have finished 6th last season but still we r major contenders to finish 4th or even higher ………….cause we r still the best club in bpl cause we hav 5 europian cups and 18 premier leagues mean while our rivals hav 19 and only 3 europian cups

Disclaimer – this comes from a newcastle fan.
I really think the predictions of newcastle’s coming implosion are wrong. Sure, they sold Andy Carroll, but they survived the season without him. Nolan did get sold, as will Enrique and likely barton. The only other departures are wayne routledge, shefki kuqi and Methuselah Campbell. Not exactly a major deathblow. Nolan gone could on its face be bad, but with Hatem Ben Arfa back in a few weeks, the role of forward midielder who feeds strikers is gonna be filled by a more skillful creative player. I honestly think (in my arguable black and white tinted glasses) that there will be an upgrade there. As for barton leaving, if that even happens this season, the Yohan Cabaye signing could really prove to be another upgrade. There is risk this season so hopefully he doesnt take long to get used to the English game. But so far in the preseason he has been mint. Controlled the midfield, plus he can take free kicks and corners, supplanting Bartons role where he was just ok. Plus Cabaye was a vital character for Lille last season when they won the French League. Routledge has been replaced by Obertan, which is a step up in my opinion. As for Enrique. This is where the most danger is. As of now, we are REAL thin at left back. But, we are apparently deep into talks about getting a young dutch international. If that happens (mind you, im aware its a big if), but if that happens there will not be a major step back at left back. With Demba Ba and potentially another striker (sigh, yea right) the attacking force could be decent. Sure, Newcastle wont be pushing for Europe this season, but the claim that Newcastle will finish 19th as one poster predicted as well as one ESPN pundit predicted is ludicrous.
I’m a Norwich City fan, so I’m just happy to see them in the top flight. Hopefully, they stay there.

I think people are over hyping United too much after the charity shield. If De gea keeps making mistakes like he did for the 2 goals in the charity shield he really could cost United the title. He was terrible during that game and was lucky United dominated the game – which they won’t in every premier league game next season which will leave him more susceptible and teams will be targeting him. I can’t see past city for the title. Swansea, Wigan and Newcastle for the drop.
While the charity shield may have increased the hype on Utd this season the majority of people/pundits are picking utd simply because they have won 3 of the last 4 titles AND strengthened the squad in the off season. Add in the possibility of signing Sneijder and overall we will have done better than everyone in the transfer market.
Assuming City get Nasri they will also have strengthened significantly but they could still end up losing Tevez which will be a big loss. While you make a fair point regarding De Gea and his EPL inexperience you have to say the same about Aguero because as of right now nobody knows how hes going to adapt to playing in the EPL. He could do for city what Cantona did for Utd or he could be another Robhino in the making. Chelsea haven’t done anything in the transfer market that worries me one bit although with their experience they will be in the race. Liverpool may have strengthened but not to the point of winning the league. Arseanl and Spurs will fade in the end as usual. It all adds up to being Utds title to lose this season.
You’ve brought in 3 players, admittedly Young will be great for you, but you’ve brought in a player who’s not going to help you this season in regards to winning the title cause he won’t even get into the first team – Jones, and you’ve brought in De gea, a keeper like I said before could cost you the title. You’ve hardly set the World alight this transfer window.
City have the best defence in the premier league despite the fact they had that LB playing last season who was completely shit, which they’ve improved by signing Clichy and they scored the 4th most goals in the premier league last season, add Aguero to that, he’ll without a doubt be an improvement when city had to play dead weight like Dzeko and Jo up front last season, and the possible signing of Nasri they’ll be stronger than United in my opinion. Yes Tevez might go and Sneijder might go to United, but nothing has happened in terms of them, so at the moment I think city are stronger. Its city’s to lose.
City conceded 33 goals in the league last season, Utd conceded 37. Rio only played in 19 league games and we had no first choice right back all season long so lets not get too carried away with the Best defence in the league claim”.
While Aguero might be a upgrade on Dzeko like De Gea that doesn’t mean he will be a success, Utd still scored 18 more goals than City last season and that’s with Rooney doing nothing for the first 4-5 months and only starting 25 games, Valencia only starting 8 games all season. Im also aware Tevez only played in 30 league games and some could be argue that was the difference but 18 goals and 9 points im not buying that.
If the season kicked of today on paper yes City would have the deeper squad, take Tevez out of the team and that’s instantly reversed whether we get Sneijder or not, either way the game isn’t played on paper and that’s were all the money in the world cant buy the experience we have as team. Interesting time’s ahead.
We will have to agree to disagree, can’t wait to watch De gea cost United the title
Citeh had the least goals against because they played 10 behind the ball all season. they don’t have anywhere near the best back line in the PL. People forget MUFC have Lingard, who at the moment is a better keeper than De Gea. I beleive he will see most of the action this year. And I don’t buy that Citeh have a deeper squad, some “pundits” (rhymes with idiots) keep saying this becasue the hear others say this, but let me ask you; which second 11 would you prefer? MUFC or MCFC. I think there are 3 players at citeh that would make MU, Tevez, de Jong and Silva (I think Komany if fantastic but MUFC have several just as good.)

Oh yes my mistake. In all honesty, I really don’t know who’s going to win the Europa League. It would be funny though if Tottenham made it far considering how much they love playing in it.
I can see PSG winning Europa League really strong squad.

Curious what you see in Chelsea that has them finishing above both Utd and City?
I think Chelsea is just as likely to fall off as Arsenal is. They already have players dropping like flies. They still might make a huge splash before September 1, though. I am very sure that Arsenal will reinvest their Cesc money after reading board comments made.

Can’t believe people are writing of chelsea just because they haven’t change their squad. Spending big doesn’t guarantee you the Title iespecially if it man City a small team with small mentality. They will never become the newchelsea although though they will create a threat to both Chelsea and Man Utd. Remember Chelsea were a very good side already and well supported worlwide with full of stars such as desailly, zola, dimateo, etc.. before Roma bought the team. It will be a tough season but I’m going to predic who will be crown champions but believe or not it will go Chelsea or Real Manchester Utd depending on who receives favours from average teams and some refs mistakes. Blue is the Chelsea is the name and winning is our aim.
If Stoke finish 7th like a few of you are predicting I;ll wet myself with excitement.
Three seasons ago you had no idea who we were! If it happened that’d be some rise from relative obscurity.
If Stoke finish 7th I’ll slit my wrists. Worst fans in the league. Disgusting. Hope you crash and burn.
I’ll hold you to that.
I have to agree though we are vile aren’t we. I mean we make too much noise, we show respect to our opponents in the Cup final staying and congratulating them on lifting the trophy (as opposed to slinking off like a bunch of spoilt mardarses), we aren’t precious about our genral lack of tippy tappy gnomedness, we applaud our players for getting up off their arse as soon as they’re hacked down by some lump from Arsenal, Chelsea or Man United. We’re generally just a bunch of twats aren’t we?
Can’t wait until we play Arsenal again.

agree w/the top 4 in that order. for relegation i think it’ll be tight again, but swansea, norwich and either one of wigan or blackburn to follow. i think qpr will barely stay up this term.
fa cup: man utd. – it’s been awhile and after coming close and falling short last term, i think they’ll want and will do the double this year.
carling: chelsea, they have some youth players to get them through the early rounds and the new boss will be kean to win at least something this year. i see them getting to the semis in europe at best.
UCL: real madrid
FA Cup: Man Utd
Carling Cup: Tottenham
Europa: Paris Saint-Germain
UCL: Barcelona
Looks like it’s the general consensus that everyone else is just playing for second place behind United…
Top 6 (which becomes true if Fabregas & Samir leave, and Modric stays)
1. Man Utd (obvious)
2. Chelsea
3. Man City (i think everyone’s been overestimating their abilities)
4. Liverpool (they should feel proud)
5.Spurs (like i said, if Modric stays)
6. Arsenal (even Wenger said it “we’re not a big club without the duo”)
and even if City had potential they’re not concistant and plus they’ve Balotelli to ruin it all.

Reckon sunderland will do better, possible top 5 and liverpool 6th. Don’t think purchasing over-inflated slightly above average british players will do much for pool, sunderland have spent well and have to say, author little harsh on him. Swap Bolton for newcastle and wolves for QPR and id agree with rest.

I can’t believe a lot of you having QPR finished lower than Norwich or even Swansea.
It was QPR who finished in first place (pretty comfortably) with a 19 game unbeaten streak at one point – they also had 25 clean sheets. Adel Taarabt was towards the top of the goals scored and at the top of the assist table. Plus, their manager, Neil Warnock, it a little crazy but has experience in the first division. I think he’s even been to a FA Cup final or two.
The other two play some nice football and will be favorites to watch but it’s going to bite them in the ass. Especially Swansea who barely squeaked by the into the Premier League through a play-off spot.
Tottenham will purchase the striker they need to push into the top 4. Fernando Llorente, Hulk, Adebayor (loan) Benzema (Loan in exchange for right of first refusal for RM on Bale and Sandro in 2 years). Spurs midfield will create the chances needed to push them into the top 4 and a world class #9 is on the way. COYS

I honestly do not see a big change to the top 4 this season, though it would be nice to see City claim the title. Liverpool look like they are gonna put on a much more exciting display this year with their new signings, and I think they could take 4th is Arsenal don’t make some better signings in the Jan transfer window, or the closing of this window. Both Arsenal and Liverpool look like they are gonna have some powerful offensive play this year, and both look like they are gonna struggle at the back. Whoever gets 4th, I think it’ll be close. I just see Arsenal finishing just above the Reds
Then as far as relegation goes I think it is gonna be just as close as last season. I can see it coming down to the last day, with the 3 promoted sides, wigan, rovers, wolves, probably bolton, then perhaps Stoke all struggling to stay afloat. However most of those squads are identical to last season, with wigan making almost no changes to the squad that by sheer luck made it last season. They also lost who I believe is one of their 2 best players. They will go down for sure, I have no doubt in my mind about that. However the other 2 spots remain a little tricky, depending how the new promoted sides do. I think QPR have a strong offensive side and should stay up. Idk about the other 2 sides, but they seemed like typical championship sides so I think they are going to struggle and fall. Either way is should be another great season at the top and bottom! If there is to be any dull boring football it is gonna come from the mid table sides, Stoke, Villa, New Castle, Everton…
Cheers All!

I am a toon fan yes, so this is perhaps a little bias. However, as a Newcastle fan, I have seen past the turmoil that has been magnified by the media. Sure, it was sad to see Carroll, Nolan and Enrique go, but I’ve seen a few pre-season games and our new signings look mint. Anyways, anything can happen in the prem, and there usually is a team that surprises, so…

On the champions league i think inter milan, or united.
Your prediction is totally FOUL. How could you placed CHELSEA in third position behind Man disunited and Man sheat. Maybe you made mistake or your prediction is wrong woefully. By the end of the season, Chelsea (cup winner), liverpool manchester united Manchester City Tottenham Arsenal…. Now, I think you will now tell the world that you made mistake and promise it will never happen again.

3. Manchester United (great start but their midfield isn’t that good to fight on all fronts)
4. Chelsea (new boss will take time to adjust to EPL especially when they play the bottom-of-the-table teams and drop points)
5. Arsenal (bad start but if they buy some decent players they could slavage a season that has gone south quickly)
6. Spurs (poor start and the Modric saga isn’t helping, plus they have a suspect defence)
Carling Cup: Manchester united
FA Cup: Manchester City
Champions League: Real madrid
Europa League: Lyon
I waited till transfer deadline day to enter my table otherwise I would have QPR down and City not winning the league. There is no way of even having an idea until you know who will be leaving and who will be staying so here we go.
1. Man City I said if they kept Tevez, bought a left sided player
(Nasri)and if Aguero hit the ground running I would back them
for first, all of these have happened plus Dzeko looks the
business so I run with my new found optimism rather than the
usual pessimism. This squad is amazing may still need gelling
time but I think they can do it just
2. Man Utd Will be very, very close with City near enough like tossing a coin
for me they have all the luck and most of the decisions go for
them so if City even win it by one point it will be well deserved.
3. Liverpool Dalglish factor what more can I say.
4. Chelsea Spent big but they need to stop keep getting rid of
Managers and get some stability will take AVB time which he
probably doesn‘t have.
5. Arsenal What has happened to them, total implosion is how it
looks to me. Made a few deadline signings nothing even near
the talent that has left but before this I had then below Spurs.
6. Spurs A Lot riding on Adebayor will probably do alright
for them till he signs (he’s not a full shilling) then it’s all down
hill with the fact he seems to think he is one of the best
around, don’t ask me why he’s living off a season about 4 years
back
7. Aston Villa It’s like they don’t even exist this year nothing seems
to have happened for them.
8. Stoke Continue to make some decent signings it will
show and take them to the next level, may even finish higher.
9. Everton Needed to bring in some new blood they have been
more weakened than strengthened by this window they should
not have sold Arteta the only decent play maker in a team that’s
not exactly full of goals. Could end up a few places lower.
10. Bolton Lost good strikers but strengthened else where.
11. Fulham Kept Dempsey so that’s good news but the manager seems to
draw a lot still!
12. Sunderland Why Sunderland continue to give Bruce money is
beyond me they have spent a lot for mediocre players and have
had very little In return and now Bentner even on loan he’s
a bad signing He couldn’t hit a elephant’s ass with a tennis
racket from two foot away
13. Newcastle Will survive life after Joey but going to struggle a bit.
14. QPR Joey and SWP et.al. should be enough quality to keep them up
with change to spare.
15. Wolves Mick has made a couple of good signings should stay up
16. WBA Not much to report, should have another year in the premier
with a good manager at this level. Not as Liverpool found out at
a higher level.
17. Wigan Luckily they have a very good Manager with a owner who
loves to rake in the penny’s in by selling their best players year
in year out I don’t think he’ll hang about that much longer
18. Blackburn Owners seem to have promised the Earth yet only delivered
Milton Keynes. Is this goodbye?
19. Norwich Holte was ok last year but maybe a level to far for them. Still
Delia can make them a nice lunch!!
20. Swansea Sorry Gaffer but they don’t seem to have any goals in them.
Now that squads are finalised, at least till January, here are my predictions for the top 6 and bottom 3.
1. Manchester City – best overall squad strength and will be able to cope with injuries better than any other club.
2. Chelsea – I think they are better than last season and with the addition of Miereles will be able to challenge for the title till the end.
3. Manchester United – their midfield isn’t as packed with talent as City and United and it will show later in the season.
4. Arsenal – Wenger is still one of the best managers in the EPL and will manage to get them into the CL again. Brought in some decent players.
5. Spurs – keeping Modric was good business and should be able to stay above Liverpool.
6. Liverpool – selling Miereles will come back to haunt them but will make it into the Europa League next season.
18. Norwich
19. Blackburn Rovers
20. Swansea
Carling Cup: Liverpool
FA Cup: Manchester United
Champions League: Real Madrid
Europa League: does anybody care?
should read:
3. Manchester United – their midfield isn’t as packed with talent as City and CHELSEA and it will show later in the season.
My Prediction:
1. Manchester City (C)
2. Manchester United
3. Chelsea
4. Liverpool

Everyone is writing Newcastle off but as a huge fan of french football they have a great player in cabaye and ben arfa coming back is huge… one of the best midfields in the prem outside top 4!! also after signing santon at LB they have an even better more solid defender than enrique!!! Hate to say it but both manchester teams will run away from the rest!!

That said at the start of the season, but with the poor form of manu and city, chelsea could easily outmatch them. Arsenal will struggle to get points away from home without Nasri and Fabregas so they wont finish that high, and Tottenham are always plagued by injuries. Swansea and Norwich have excellent managers so should finish higher, and sunderland are absolutely awful at the moment… Bolton’s poor form should see them with less confidence so they should finish lower, and with QPR’s excellent work in the transfer window they should see themselves a top ten finish. West Brom have great players and a great manager, especially with Shane Long added to the striker list. Excellent signings by liverpool could see them finish top three if they can play well together as Kenny Dalglish chops and changes his team too much. Stoke have built a fortress at home and under Tony Pulis they should continue to play well as a pack. Newcastle Have signed some great players like Marveaux and Cabaye, but should they attempt to win the Carling cup, they will get more injuries and won’t finish higher in the league.

1. Man Utd (CL) (They will get revenge against City and take their 20th crown)
2. Man City (CL) (Will collapse towards the end)
3. Chelsea (CL) (Villas-Boas keeps his spot as manager)
4. Tottenham (CL) (Will just nick 4th)
5. Arsenal (EL) (Miss out on CL by a single point on final matchday)
6. Liverpool (EL) (Will make Europa but lack consistancy)
7. Newcastle (EL) (Demba Ba will take them to Europa)

18. Wigan (R) (Will finally be heading down, no N’Zogbia to save them)
19. West Brom (R) (Their style of football bores me, don’t think they are Premier League material)
20. Blackburn (R) (Will be rock bottom a month before the season ends, Kean is finally sacked the following season)
FA Cup: Everton (Will surprise everyone here)
Carling Cup: Man City (Too strong, even if they field a weakened team)
Europa League: Man Utd (Fergie wants the only missing trophy in his cabinet)
Champions League: Real Madrid (Ronaldo triumphs over Messi for once)
From a Villa fan.
1. Man City (Their squad is too strong for anyone. Apart for Ji-Dong Won.)
2. Tottenham (They have an amazing squad but no-one good to replace them if they get injured.)
3. Man United (Gonna have a major fail streak but will pick up towards the end. It will be too late though.)
4. Arsenal (Had a shaky start but Henry and van Persie will keep them in the Top 4)
5. Chelsea (Villas Boas seemed ok at first but hes just a bad mourinho. No Top 4 for The Pensioners.)
6. Liverpool (Dont have a good enough squad for Top 4. Maybe’s in a few years.)
7. Newcastle (Ba and Coloccini are holding that team together. They dont have good enough replacements though.
8. Sunderland (Martin O’Neill has turned that team right round. If they make some good January signings then a Top half finish is certain.)
9. Stoke (I don’t like Tony Pulis but he is a decent manager. Stoke can pull of a Top half finish).
10. Everton (They are possibly the most boring team in the prem but they are also a good footballing team).
11. Aston Villa (They are sliping down. The Fans hate the manager and if they don’t turn it round they could face a relegation battle
12. West Brom (A Boring Footballing Team. They have two fab forwards in Odemwingie and Long but have no other good players. Olsson is the only other good player for them.)
13. Norwich (At the start of the season I tipped them to go down. They have impressed me though. Great Supporters. If i wasn’t a mackem I would want to be a Norwich fan).
14. Fulham (Will have a Boring, nail biting season but will stay up.)
15. Swansea (A boring but good team. Will stay up but will go down in a few seasons).
16. QPR (I thought they would get Europa League in August but they have disapointed me).
17. Wolves (I Hate them with a passion (They always beat us) But will stay up. They Always do).
18. Bolton (Bolton have been in the prem for a while but I believe that there time is up. They won’t go down without a fight though.)
19. Blackburn (I dont get Blackburn. They have decent players in Samba, Hoilett, Goodwillie and Yakubu but play terrible. They will become a Portsmouth/Middlesboro team.
20. Wigan (Dead and buried. Enough said.

Seems like many people didn’t give Tottenham a looking, apart from the ones who have commented recently. Will be a very interesting run in now.
Oddser
everybody is thinking Man. City will be the BPL Champion.in 2008/09 or 2009/2010 session Chelsea was in top rank, they scored a controversial goal scored by Ashleycole against the team which i did’nt rememember. After that everything happend against Chelsea and they were went back to 3or4th possision in that session.Same think will happened to Man City against Tottenham match which they won 3-2. So this session Man City willbe No.3or4. This is my prediction.

Its funny seeing peoples predictions of Newcastle change! Everyone who had us for the drop can eat their words!
I will put us at 7th by the end.
Venables in the Sun said Newcastle United would finish 16th, McNulty at the Beeb said 15th, Lawrenson said 18th and said Liverpool would be challenging for the title ! Humble Pie time methinks !
I think everyone, myself included, was thinking that Mike Ashley would get too involved with the transfers of players in and out of Newcastle, and that the club would suffer from his messy hands. That’s why I predicted Newcastle would finish tenth.
Cheers,
The Gaffer
Lol love lots of predictions looking very silly now, especially some who had such conviction in there predictions. But; this is why I love football, its a game you cant predict, I think only one person put Spurs in the top 4, look at them now. Newcastle , couple predicted them to go down but Ba and co have given them a shot at top 4.
The beautiful game continues to keep us interested and mesmerized by shock results and provide us with some amazing games, think 8-2, 6-1 etc…
Even predicting the season from now I guarantee a few shocks although we have a much better idea.
The day I predict the whole table correctly will probably lose interest in the game!
