A tired backline? I think a backline that has conceeded one goal in 3 games and that happened to be the Green keeper error.

Get your facts right gaffer, you’re starting to sound as much of a clown as your sidekick Kartik.

      ahahahaha!

Gaffer made you look like a right knob!

It’s quite obvious that not only does Poker lack common sense, but he also lacks simple reading comprehension.

    Poker,
The England back line has looked solid and has in fact only given up 1 goal – a point I mentioned in the article.

But you’ve got to agree, that Terry especially at times has looked a tad bit slow. I’m not saying he’s played bad, I’d just feel slightly more comfortable with him if he picks up his pace.

Upson looked stronger the more he played… Terry was diving for low headers late on. Carragher looked past his prime and hopefully will not see the pitch unless there are injuries or card issues.

Tired. not really. Old and slow. maybe.

Finishing has been the big issue. and flopping the ball forward without purpose as opposed to breaking down inferior teams.

Germany is different. They will need be clinical, and deliberate with the passes. and Rooney needs to fucking put the ball in the net.

Terry has never been the quickest, neither was Bobby Moore, defending is much more about speed, is is about heart and being able to read situations.
I have defending this backline for some time now and even when the facts are there in front of people, they just can’t see it.

Why I’m at it, you shouldn’t presume that England ‘will bow out’ or ‘be eliminated’. I like to think positive and hope the players are too. If we went into the game with your attitude we might as well not bother turning up.

We’re gonna hammer this German team, despite a good performance against a 10 man Australian side, I haven’t seen anything that makes me think we can’t turn this team over.

Germany was up 2-0 and dominating the proceedings before Australia was reduced to 10 men. Ozil was controlling the midfield and Muller/Podolski were making great runs from wide positions.

Up top, Klose will be back for this game. Cacau is not a bad option off the bench nor is Kiesling. Mario Gomez on the other hand continues to underwhelm at this level.

Still no Schwieinsteiger means no chance for Germany. Without Ballack, he’s the heart and sole of the team. The remaining players minus Klose and Lahm are too young and inexperienced to beat a team like England that boats the world’s best player in Rooney and new found squad harmony.

“Still no Schwieinsteiger means no chance for Germany.”

Wow. As blanket statements go that one is massive. I certainly want England to win, but I sure as hell hope the team isn’t thinking like that.

The combination of Schweinstager’s injury, Germany’s youth and inexperience in big games and the new detente between the Terry faction and Capello means England has a clear advantage in this match. The Three Lions will never get a better opportunity to beat Germany when it counts. I think England wins, perhaps easily.

You English are delusional. So let me get this straight…you lot think you can beat Germany ON WHAT BASIS?

Is it because of your stellar performances against Slovenia or Algeria??

Or is it because you talking out of your asses??

    Choose one.

This reminds me of when the English said they would bash the USA like 3-0 or something. The English will be lucky if they lose by only 2 against Germany.

Rooney best player in the world. You are having a laugh. He is nowhere as good as the likes of Messi, Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta, Sneijder. I could go on. Again he has not proved it in a big international tourament.
