For 45 years I've been dreaming of Hull City getting to the top division. Last season's success was completely unexpected and I still hadn't caught my breath when this season got under way. Being an optimist I thought that we'd stay up but even the most optimistic City fan could not have anticipated the style with which we have started the campaign. The potential is immense, In 66/67, following promotion from the third division, we pulled in well over thirty thousand for some games. The previous season 45,000 saw Hull take on Chelsea in an FA Cup quarter final replay.
