Arsenal’s 2008-2010 Emirates Cup Will Be Televised On GolTV

emirates cup Arsenals 2008 2010 Emirates Cup Will Be Televised On GolTVArsenal fans in the United States, rejoice. The next three Emirates Cups, featuring Arsenal and an assortment of top clubs, will be televised on GolTV every summer between now and 2010.

This summer’s treat will feature live coverage of the following matches (all times eastern):

  • Real Madrid v Hamburg, August 2, 9am
  • Arsenal v Juventus, August 2, 11:15am
  • Juventus v Hamburg, August 3, 9am
  • Arsenal v Real Madrid, August 3, 11:15am

The 2008 Emirates Cup is the second annual pre-season tournament held at Emirates Stadium in London. Hosted by current reigning cup champions, Arsenal, the two-day tournament is played group style,” meaning each team plays two matches and is awarded three points for a win, one point for a draw and one point for every goal scored. The team with the highest point total at the end of the tournament is crowned the 2008 Emirates Cup Champion.

Yea, it’s on Comcast. If you subscribe to FSC, GolTV should be part of the same package. Excellent, excellent news here!

Comcast Chicago has GolTv on 268, right next to FSC.

Excellent, nice to see a major pre-season tournament on US television. Another sign of the big interest in our favorite sport.

Per Time Warner’s New York website, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Mt. Vernon will get GOL TV on 8/6 as an addition to the sports tier (which is an extra $2.95/month).

No it will NOT be available, effective 1st August DirectTV will not be broadcasting. You can see it clearly on GolTV’s website on the homepage.

Actually, it’s DISH NETWORK…….Gol TV is still available on Direct….Channel 614 (which I have….and will be watching the Gooners tomorrow)

CH 426 on DirectTV is also GOLTV. Hit the yellow button to recieve the Espanol feed.
