Are you having a laugh Gaffer, I could have sworn the NASL went out of business ages ago, what sort of public relations does a now defunct league need? Maybe Kartik can get the Old Firm to join the NASL after he “revives” it. Seriously – best of luck to Mr. K, and thanks for his countless hours of hard work.

This is actually very disapointing news.

I am not sure how exactly Krishnaiyer justifies leaving one of the top websites covering soccer to join a league that does not kick off until 2011.

I am a big fan of Krishnaiyer’s analysis and an thankful at least he’ll be contributing to World Cup coverage. He’s perfectly blunt and generally right about topics related to the US Soccer landscape and knows his English football history like a whip. I don’t really like his broadcast voice, but his interview skills are awesome despite this, and his writing is really excellent.

Kartik, why are you leaving now, in a World Cup year, when NASL is not going to be playing in 2010? Best of luck, and of course you will be missed, but truthfully I do not understand.

Richard Farley is a good choice as a replacement host, Gaffer. Well done.

We have nine NASL teams competing in the USSF D2 this season. So from the league perspective, now is the time to be building the brand and laying the foundation to make 2011 a spectacular league launch.

I will be contributing to EPL Talk as the release states and the Gaffer’s article during the World Cup.

    Best wishes to Kartik.

I am glad to hear that Richard Farley is taking over the job. He has done an awesome job hosting the Russian Football Now podcast, which I follow religiously. Best of luck!
