Always a good home team…yes, that-together with some surprises along the way-will ensure we continue to see Ian Holloway’s team next year

Honestly, I hope Blackpool can stay in the EPL. I think Blackpool, if they can maintain in the EPL, can become the “Cinderella” story that most under teams would love and strive to become. If they’re relegated, well there’s always next time.

Why do you say that? I hope that’s not the case because of what I said above. How has Blackpool been generally?

Straight down. They won’t be as bad as Derby a few years back, but they’re going to struggle.

Looks like Harewood had a good game too. Still a long way to go for them though.

Wigan are an inconsistent side, so I wouldn’t be reading too much into this result. If Blackpool are out of the relegation zone after another 37 games, I’d be surprised.

I hope they stay up but I don’t think they will. A fantastic result today, but Wigan leaked goals all of last season and will also struggle this year.

Probably not. It’s going to take a miracle season, I think. Ian Holloway is a bit of a magician though, so they might can do it… but they’ll probably sink like a stone at some point, just like Burnley did.

Wonderful start however. Give’m heaps Blackpool, give’m heaps!!!

Yes, it’s only one game, but West Ham showed nothing against Villa and WBA got mowed down by Chelsea (no shame there, but still). Go, Blackpool!

Blackpool fantastic. Wigan awful. Pitch perfect. Crowd dreadful (your blogger was right!). We may still go down but if nothing else this should dispel the idea that we’ll get less than points than Derby.

Last two away games – Forest 3-4; Wigan 0-4. Arsenal will be worried… :)

Blackpool will be fine, I think they can stay up in the Premier League for next season, however Blackpool fans, don’t get too excited, I remember that Burnley did beat Manchester United last year in the beginning of the season.
