How many Arsenal-related posts will we get today? Was the other post not enough? We know Arsenal won, Tottenham were missing a few and the two goal explosion killed everything that Spurs were doing right in the first half.

Can we have another post about Arshavin’s posts about the cost of living in England?

How about something relating to Van Persie’s ability to stay healthy for this many games?

C’mon, a lot more has happened on this fine Saturday morning to talk about other than Arsenal.

Spuds will not finish in top 4 for a long time and will never win at the emirates …

As a neutral, I got short changed. Tottenham were missing 4 or their top players (missing their 3 best – Defoe, Modric and Lennon, and one of their best defenders in Woodgate). Rosicky and Denilson are role players who weren’t missing. Can you say the same for Tottenham? Try to think of it this way – take away Torres and Gerrard from Liverpool and what do you have (a mediocre club), take away Van Persie, Fabregas and Arshavin (you have a good but not great club). Same goes for every club – take away their best players and it’s just not the same. Arsenal should have won – playing at home against a weakened squad. Arsenal fans shouldn’t get too excited and Spurs fans shouldn’t get too upset.

I haven’t seen Carlos since he turned poor Tim Howard inside-out in the Gold Cup finals.

nothap’n, couldn’t agree more. What else would you like to talk about? And look at it this way: a couple Arsenal posts for Derby weekend isn’t so bad is it? It’s nice to have a break from all the Liverpool posts, no?

The Chelsea-Bolton game was actually pretty entertaining. Bolton’s resistance to waves of Blue pressure was great football watching. Had the Wanderers broken through on one of their many close shaves while the game was still 1-0, we’d have likely seen a very different finish than the one we did.

And I didn’t get to watch it, but I was kinda shocked Liverpool actually dropped ANOTHER game. To be honest, watching the Reds slowly disintegrate this season is absolutely fascinating.

vela got hurt against the US, got hurt again in training, then apparently got hurt again before the carling cup match the other day.

was hoping for more from him this season. we shall see.

Throw in links when you say things like “reminiscent of Thierry Henry’s famous Bernabeu solo effort”!

@rosco excellent point. amended. @nothap’n I wrote the post immediately after the game, which was the early kickoff. not many other games to write about when only one has been played.
