Bentley was superb tonight,creating more in a game than Beckham did in his 1st 2 YEARS at international level and has ended “becks” celebrity career once and for all at 5 tournament flops and nothing else.

He is going to get his 100th cap at some point in the next year so this isnt surprising to me.

Personally I dont see what the massive debate is about. In my opinion, Beckham should only get a call up if his is truelly playing at a consistancy and level which merits him being chosen him over others and is a benefit for the team. At this point in time the answer is no to all these and I’m not sure if he will ever be one of the top right midfielders in England ever again. It would be disrespectful to the greats that have come before him that didn’t reach the 100 caps mark to gift him anothere cap. I don’t think he should be considered one of the greatest English players, although this is hard to justify considering its so difficult to differentiate the hype/commerialization from his talent.

what a suprise,you refer to football as “soccer”.How that just sums up what Beckham and his “cult” and cebebrity brought into our game-people with no knowledge or heritage in it whtsoever,just get off my pc screen.
