In the United States, the clocks go forward an hour tonight for Daylight Savings Time. However the clocks don’t go forward in the
United Kingdom for another two weeks until March 28.
That means that for viewers in the United States, Premier League games will begin one hour later than usual for the next two weeks.
That’s good news or bad news depending on how you look at it. You’ll get one hour of extra sleep before the early matches kick off on Saturdays and Sundays. But the Saturday late kickoff won’t finish until 3:30-3:45pm ET.
Here’s the latest Premier League TV schedule for viewers in the United States.
It’s “Daylight Saving Time” not “Daylight Savings Time”!
Good catch. You’re correct although it does sound strange in the singular.

I think this may be worse than using the term offsides instead of offside.
Rob
Given that the longer DST for the U.S. and Canada now appears entrenched, I wonder if the UK or EU will eventually follow suit. I do recall hearing/reading a year or two back that the UK government was considering synchronizing it with North America.
Danimal, most of the western world changes to Daylight Saving Time two weeks from now, on March 28, when the United Kingdom does. US, and a few countries neighbouring the States, makes the change today. It’d be much easier if the States changed to March 28 than to get all of the countries to change from March 28 to March 14.
In the civilized world that we live in today, it’s ridiculous that these countries aren’t all making the change at the same time. Then again, there are some US states who don’t even observe DST such as Arizona, Hawaii and the ET zone portion of Indiana. How confusing!

The Gaffer
I say make it like China…the entire country on one time, all the time. Would cut way down on the confusion.
Then we could get midnight sun in California.
Always look foward to this point of the the sason. That hour makes a huge diffrence for me.
Yes, in the Midwest the extra hour is a big plus. Gives us some more time to wake up.
Most of you here probably do not remember when we did not move ahead the clocks until mid-April. That really made the summer’s seem shorter.
