Does Anyone Want to Win the Premier League This Season?

epllogoIs it me or does it seem like none of the Big Four want to win the Premier League title this season? Just when Liverpool gain momentum, they stumbled to another nil nil draw at Anfield Monday night against West Ham United. How can Liverpool beat Manchester United and Chelsea, but fail to defeat the likes of Stoke, West Ham, Fulham and Spurs?

Arsenal has a similar problem where they can beat Chelsea and Manchester United, but trip up against Fulham, Hull and Stoke.

Compared to the same number of games played last year, Arsenal has ten fewer points now. Liverpool has four points more now than they did last year. Manchester United have two fewer points now, and Chelsea have two less points now too.

Infuriating. Keane is driving me nuts. As always, too much pressure on Stevie G. to score when Torres is out (and vice versa).

I'm starting to think 80-83 points might end up being enough to win it this season. Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

I think lots of teams want to win it, but no one is running away with it this year because the big four teams are not quite as good as in recent years. It's not a lack of desire, it's parity. If you're looking for great football, that's a bad thing. If you're looking for a title race that could go down to the wire, this is great.
