According to The Observer newspaper, the Premier League plans to use its innovative goalline technology to settle disputes over whether balls have crossed the line from the 2008-09 season.It’s about bloody time!

Isn’t this the idea of puting a chip inside the ball?

If it is, I don’t really like it. I read articles about how the chip was jarred loose and didn’t function. It seems like a very suspect way of achieving its goal.

I’d much rather see the use of replay. The cameras are already in place and would be a quick simple fix.
