Steve, I think it’s more likely a different league other than the Premier League. Read this article to find out more information: http://www.championsleaguetalk.com/rumor-directv-acquires-uefa-europa-league-tv-rights-in-us/463

Orlando, I’ve placed a follow-up message in to GolTV to find out the answer to that question and will post the reply once I hear back from GolTV.

Thanks for reminding us about that important question.

Hi Robbie, the situation with Dish and GolTV hasn’t changed. They’re both continue to talk to each other, but no resolution appears to be on the horizon anytime soon.

Come on, no questions about Special 1 TV? Tons of people requested that one, and yet nothing to Mr. ORourke!

RedMD, I’m in close touch with Setanta Ireland and right now, nothing has been agreed with Special1 TV to bring them back for another season — yet. Just like the ESPN deal, they’re in negotiations. As soon as I hear something, I’ll let you know.

      Cheers,

I wanted to mention what are the chances of any of these channels picking up African Soccer?
There’s no reason why we can’t see Drogba/Eto’o/etc compete for the Nations Cup/World Cup Qualifiers

Always look forward to the TV preview show. It is sort of like getting a preview of your Christmas gifts. Let’s hope that big one of ESPN on Saturday mornings appears under the tree soon.

There are some questions still unanswered, will the second Setanta game at 10 ET on Saturday be available on Setanta-i. What about Goltv expanding their channel onto cable networks?

    good interviews.
    few questions unansered…
Any develepments with setanta for NYC viewers?
Why is Setanta still charging full whack for both TV and Setanta -i for a greatly reduced service… ie. no saturday early kick off, no monday aft. kick off ..no champions league live…no football matters etc…reduced programming same price…..

as david above…will the second Setanta game at 10 ET on Saturday be available on Setanta-i?
    CTID…

The providers and Setanta can’t say much, so all they say is we’re still talking. No surprise and you won’t know of a deal until it’s ready to be inked.

The lesson with all of rights for soccer is that no one network can afford to buy the rights to a whole league when only a couple of games are shown. The leagues need to understand that if the providers aren’t making a profit, they won’t be getting the fees they’ve been seeing over the past few years.

Kartik has the worst radio voice, lol. You guys need to hire someone better for the podcasts because Gaffer doesn’t sound very good either.

People forget that many subscribe to Setanta for RUGBY, which makes the monthly subscription price well worth it. There are thousands of rugby fans in this country, don’t forget that.
