Everton Searches for Sponsor to Acquire Naming Rights to New Stadium

May 6th, 2008 By The Gaffer · 2 Comments

everton.gifChances are that if you’re reading this article, you’re not a CEO of a Fortune 500 company. But if you were, don’t be surprised to see a DVD and possibly even a DVD player being delivered to you from Everton Football Club.

Everton has hired AEG to find a company willing to pay approximately £4.5 million ($8.8 million) for a 15-year naming rights deal for the Toffee’s proposed new stadium in Kirkby. In order to get the attention of the CEOs in influential companies, AEG is sending DVDs and DVD players featuring an introduction to the property as well as an invitation to meet with club officials.

According to euFootball.biz, Everton expects to have the naming rights deal signed by the end of the year.
