I would love to see a year like 2008, where historically lower division teams took over. Well a year where the likes of Porstmouth, Barnsley, and Cardiff taking over is probably a rarity. I bet this year it is unlikely unless the big 4 teams get drawn against each other in the 4th and 5th rounds. I always hope to get a couple of big name teams drawn against each other in the 3rd round but no such luck this year. I always root for the little guy to win in the FA Cup.

Given that it’s a week until their next match, I’m hoping that Burnley play their first 11, including Nugent, Bikey, Eagles, and Fletcher. Since Nugent is relatively new, they still need to cement themselves as a team, especially when it will result in goals (as it will against MK Dons). David Nugent looks hungry for playing time, which he eagerly turns into chances on goal.

Slightly odd choice for that top picture.

While Wimbledon did famously rise through the leagues in the ’80s, the year they won the Cup they finished seventh in the First Division.

Their win at Wembley may have been an upset — denying Liverpool the double — but it wasn’t really that much of a “giant-killing”.
