I’m guessing it’s accurate. It’s no secret that West Ham has been woeful with their finances in recent years, and this would seem to bear that out.

If West Ham is smart, they’ll use this off-season to retool their squad — let go or trade some of the high-wage dead wood and bring in some new talent. Let’s face it — they really can’t do any worse and still stay up. Something’s got to give.

It could possibly be true but the fact that it has appeared in the Daily Star, which isn’t worth the paper that its written on, completely undermines the story.

I would suggest you see what they tried to pull on Saturday with Eidur Gudjohnson being accussed of giving a Nazi salute towards the Spurs fans.

I hope they can afford a good lawyer

When Brit’s are looking for work, do job postings advertise the pay by the number of dollars per week? Is this just a sports thing in the UK or are all salaries judged by weekly pay instead of yearly? I’m still trying to get used to figuring out what all these salaries based on how much they make in a week really comes out to.

The fact they issued a statment pretty much means the document is legit…sort of ironic really.

I think this has always been known. I mean Kieron Dyer got signed by Curbishley on big wages and then had his career more or less ended a month or two months later, but was on contract.

It’s not like in FM where you can just ditch players who suck if you really want to. These guys signed big, like Scott Parker, and they’ll take their money until their contract runs out. It’s all really quite simple.
