Rafa and you both under-estimating Fulham! Fulham finished 7th last year ahead of Spurs and City. In the last 12 month they have taken 4 points off the Arsenal, 3 off ManU, 4 off City and now 4 off Liverpool.

The difference is that Roy Hodgson had a clear game plan, I don't think Rafa did as it was 'only Fulham'.

I saw the team sheet before the game and normally there would not be a Fulham player who would make the Liverpool team. I would take Hangerland and Zamora over Kyrgiacos and Voronin.

the real problem is we're lacking of depth. it's a problem long overdue. short term reason: why wouldn't the owners pump in more cash when we were so close last season. i'd sell my kids just to win the 20-years-overdue title. any excuses from them mean they are not fit for that position

long term reason: i always thought that we would never win the league under rafa. our bench, back-up players aren't good enough to take the responsibilities when required. we don't have the depth to last 38 games; when luck is on our side, we can go all the way to champions league final. that is why rafa is the tournament specialist

it occurs to me that rafa's only way to build a squad is with a pile of cash and when the cash isn't there for him to spend, where else can he look for players? from the youth academy? how many young players are proven in the first XI? none. rafa has just recently mutated the kirkby academy, what if he's not going to last long in the club, does that mean we have to re-build the destruction along rafa's path that he left?

Ethan I understand that losing, and losing while performing poorly is disheartening but really this is your biggest footballing disappointment ever? Losing 2-1 to a decent team like Fulham isn't so bad compared with losing 4-0 twice in the space of 72 hours (admittedly to probably the best side in the league right now). Or England not qualifying for the Euro 2008 (probably the biggest footballing disappointment I've ever experienced). Perhaps you Liverpool fans were spoiled last year by only losing twice, and yes Liverpool is in a bit of a mess right now, but come March they most certainly won't be in a relegation battle or anything.
Chin up Ethan, things may not be looking too good for Liverpool right now but in the grand scheme of things Liverpool fans have it great. Also I hope you feel better soon! I've been feeling horrid lately too.
