fox soccer channel1 Fox Soccer Channel to Televise Upcoming Liverpool FriendliesFox Soccer Channel announced today that it’ll be broadcasting three of the upcoming friendlies involving Liverpool this summer.

The U.S. TV network will be showing the following games live:

  • Thai national team v Liverpool, July 22, 9am ET
  • Singapore national team v Liverpool, July 26, 8am ET
  • FC Lyn v Liverpool, August 5, 1pm ET.

Fox Soccer Channel also mentioned in a written statement that they’ll be televising two additional preseason matches featuring Premier League clubs in August, to be announced at a later date.

The acquisition of these three friendlies by Fox Soccer Channel sends a strong message to TV viewers in the United States. Setanta US, who have usually showed most of the major summer friendlies involving Premier League teams, have yet to announce any games. Meanwhile, GolTV will be showing games from the Peace Cup involving Aston Villa.

Great news… I was getting worried that at the lack of pre-season coverage.. good to see FSC step up and show more matches… being the season prior to the World Cup.. this season means more than most!!

I would rather eat broken glass while missing my beloved Reds than watch FSC as long as Mr. STEVEN COHEN is employed by them.

Friendlies are generally yawn fests. Nothing to get excited over. The main course comes August 15th. Now that’s when you start getting moist!

Agree about the friendlies, but to me they beat watching MLS and having to listen to the screaming idiot Max Bretos.

    Jane,

I can’t say where I heard it, but I have it on good authority that Cohen won’t be presenting FFF next season. Fox have given him the boot. Happy days!
