The Olympics are not anywhere near the sort of event worldwide that the World Cup is. It is not even close. In fact, 50% of the IOC's TV revenue comes from the USA.....can you imagine that? It's not really anything that matters in large parts of the globe and its insulting that an American President would go to Kobenhaven to lobby for an event that is less of an economic stimulus or relevant in the world, than the World Cup which the US is currently bidding on.

Good for Rio- I'd much prefer to see an effort by the IOC to host the event somewhere new than simply cycling back through North America every other cycle, just like FIFA does with Europe.

Chicago getting knocked out in the first round was not based on merit. I hope the real story comes out and no drug dealer has shot anything out of the sky in Chicago. Ok, I'm still bitter about it but the IOC makes FIFA look like rational decision makers. The Olympic's will only come to the US again when the TV money from the US networks dries up.

Internet Pirates on BBC 5 Live. Not a very good discussion of the issue at all. The main issue for the EPL appearing to be the 3:00pm games being shown in pubs. The policy of no TV for the 3:00pm game is insane in todays world. If the American's had such a policy we would be called such names by the Eurosnobs and told how enlightened Europeans are compared to the Yanks. I would hope the American owners in the EPL would inform the owners that the more TV exposure the better it is for the league.

Why the EPL can not adopt a broadband service like MLS remains a mystery. A reasonably priced service would end the piracy issue dead in it's tracks.

I really cant grasp how pirated feeds are huring the beautiful game. Not having instant replay or some other official review in place for questionable calls IS hurting the game. Cry me a river.

Pirated football is better than no football at all. First you blocked us from worldwide streaming of music, and now when we've beaten you at your own game... you go crying to "big brotha govment."

Reasons to Pirate:
- Ticket prices are ridiculous
- Stadiums have seating limitations (Chelsea cant expand due to the tube. If Chelsea were in the USA and owned by Jerry Jones, the government would find a way to move the damn tube.)
- England's weather SUCKS

The 2002 Adidas World Cup ball Fevernov, while somewhat garish in appearance, is actually a really well-designed ball. It plays well on a variety of surfaces (plastic pitch and grass).

I'm not a big fan of the Arsenal USA site either. I might be able to see some benefit for the complete novice (the "Where to watch matches" section could be a help for instance) but after years of using the regular Arsenal.com I don't have any use for the new version.
