The number of football podcasts that are available on iTunes is staggering. In terms of quality, it’s definitely a case of the good, the bad and the ugly. But if you’re a football supporter of a Premier League club, you may find the following list helpful of the official podcasts that are avalable for each club (well, most of them — there are still some Premiership clubs who are living in the dark ages).

- Blackburn Rovers: Not available.
- Bolton Wanderers: Not available.
- Burnley: Not available.

- Hull City: Not available.
- Liverpool: No new episodes since 2006.
- Manchester City: No new episodes since May, 2009.
- Manchester United: No new episodes since 2006.
- Portsmouth: Not available.
- Stoke City: No new episodes since December, 2008.
- Sunderland: No new episodes since February, 2009.

- West Ham United: No new episodes since 2007.
- Wigan Athletic: Not available.
- Wolverhampton Wanderers: Not available.
As you can see, the number of official Premier League podcasts is in a story state with only 25% of the 20 teams still publishing episodes. You can see from the above list how clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester United, West Ham and others launched podcasts but were never able to keep them going.

Here is the link for PompeyTalk. While it is not as regular as I would like, it is put together by the local paper using reporters that cover the club on a regular basis. I don’t know how long it’s been around, but it’s very informative. There is a link to it on iTunes. I subscribe to it for my iPod.
Try checking out clubs’ local BBC Radio stations for shows and phone-ins related to the club. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer. With most of these available online clubs don’t really need to offer their own podcast
