The game has been damaged yet again and fifa do nothing! This has tainted next years World Cup and there will be millions that will support other teams against France because of the way they qualified. Even the people of France are ashamed of henry which says it all. If I were henry I would consider emigrating after all he can afford to.

Expect he will get over it – cheats always can live with their actions.

henry cheated and cleverly looked for a way to save himself from criticism by his statements and actions following. He didn’t look as though he felt sorry immediately following the goal or when the final whistle went. An attempt to disguise his cheating to the ref???????????????????

What is pathetic is the way his fellow football friends (Beckham for instance) defend his cheating except his own countryman Cantona who said he would have thumped him if he were Dunne.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair enough Gaffer, but to sit there and cry that Henry is the worst villiam in football, and to ban him is just plain dumb. Get mad at FIFA, get mad at the unwillingness to have technology involved so that these unfortunate events cease to happen. Get mad at the referee’s who missed the handball and allowed the goal to stand. Its sucks for Ireland and their countrymen, and fans, no doubt. But get some perspective, and realize where the blame and anger should be pointed at. And that should be at FIFA and the referees, not at the individual player.
And when I say not at the player, I mean calling for boycotts and like like are pathetic. People like this Kartik Krishnaiyer seem to think that Henry is worse than every average footballer, and its completely false and narrowminded. Sure, if it happened to my club and/or country, I would hate the player. But I would realize that any could and would do it if they got away with it. Players try to get away with illegal actions for the entire duration of a football match. That is indisuputable.

There's a lot of people saying things like 'move on,' and 'these things happen,' but until it happens to you or your country, you don't know how it feels. To come so close for qualifying to the biggest tournament in the world; to spend three years trying to qualify, and then everything comes down to one cheat making a stupid decision. This is something that people aren't going to forget and brush off. It takes time to heal, but for many of us, we'll never forget Henry's poor decision and he'll be tainted with that for the rest of his life. I'm not Irish, but I'm Welsh, so I can relate. Life is tough, but you need to sympathize with these supporters and put yourself into their shoes. Cheers, The Gaffer

Actually yes, another day in football in terms of a bad call being made/missed. Calls are missed numorous times in every game. Calls/fouls are made in every game that shouldn’t have been made. That is indisputible. Sure this one happened at a critical time in a critical match for France and Ireland. Tough luck for Ireland, in some degree I feel bad from them. Plus I wanted them there because they have no player good enough to play for Arsenal. Move on people…

If Henry can cheat like this, why not allow everyone to catch the ball with their hands like Irish football. Maybe they can bring baseball bats and horses as well to help them win – it is horrible and it will mean this World Cup is a cheaters cup not a Fair Play cup.

Henrys assertion that it was the refs job to spot his cheating should certainly put Henry’s Wife/girlfriend(boyfriend prhaps) on warning. it will not be his fault the next time he”drops his hand”.

Terribly Sorry for the irish team. They met our colonial team and realized how evil they are.
Cheaters, mercenaries, working for money only, and not even able to sing the national anthem… I’m not surprised of what happened during the final 3 years ago.

Even if I’m french, I will support all the teams playing against our team…
