jimmy floyd is one of my greatest players in the world and his retirement is great loss noy only to his club but this also affects the national team. a great feast should be held 4 him

I’m not a great football fan to say the least, but i was kind of shocked at the news of his retirement. I had heard he playing for cardiff and even saw an interview conducted as they faced a final cup tie( shows how little I know) a year ago?.
However, it dawned on me a moment ago, as i saw a news flash on bbc sport that cardiff had lost a match today. I said ‘How could that be? Wasn’t Floyd H on the field? Only to find out he had retired without notice of any kind.
He was a better player than most of the so called stars of football. I do remember his left foot and the power with which he ‘hit’ those balls. It was a joy to watch.
Yes, if he was british, he will have got all the headlines..it is rather obvious. Don’t you think?

Hasselbaink is the greatest there was and the best there will ever be. His extraordinary passion and love for the game lives on in the many young players he influenced as a player and those he'll now influence as a coach. He will be missed.

time just keeps rolling on. Hasselbaink leaving the game is shocking, Chelsea should call him round though. What catches my eye, is how many quality players small Dutch Guyana (Suriname) turns outs.

Hasselbaink, Edgar Davids, Aaron Winters, Clarence Seedorf etc…
