Why not slide Barry into the holding role, sit Lampard, and plug Joe Cole in on the wing? I'm no Chelsea fan, but the little fella is probably the most creative player that England has to offer. Then drop Defoe for Agbonlahor - I'm not a huge fan of either but at least Agbonlahor has his moments... Defoe is overrated - he's the kind of striker that perfoms well in blowouts, but never wins you any close matches. Hell, even Crouch would be better! Defoe and Lampard are both puzzling.
