Chelsea isn’t the only English team touring the States this summer. In addition to Aston Villa, Everton is Stateside and the Merseyside club is already making quite a bit of news:

  • If you’d rather not watch Chelsea take on the LA Galaxy Saturday night at 8:30pm ET on ESPN, you can catch Everton on GolTV in their friendly against Real Salt Lake at the same time.
  • Everton has announced its second friendly of their U.S. tour when they play Ventura County Fusion (of the USL PDL) on Tuesday, July 24 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

I am hoping that they do a better job coping with the altitude than Celtic did. That was just brutal to watch in the All-Star Game.

RSL plays at 10 PM Eastern time, so the games do not overlap.

Hopefully Everton will show up for that second match against the USL PDL side. I did not catch the match against Salt Lake City but by all accounts the MLS boys dominated the proceedings and David Moyes has voiced his concerns about his squad’s focus in a public manner.
