Interesting articles, Gaffer.
I know that FSC and Setanta aren’t on the Nielsen ratings scale(as subjective s an indicator Nielsen is), but I am dying to find out how many people in the United States will get up tomorrow morning, and spend a good 6 hours or more watching the games, from the early kick-off, Arse-WBA, all the way with Sunderland-Pool, and the replays after that.
Does anybody have an educated guess?

TampaSoccer,

That’s a great question. Estimates are that approximately 300,000 people watch a Premier League match on Fox Soccer Channel.

But from my experiences, very few people (other than the die-hard fans) will watch the full six hours straight. Most may watch one game live, or will skip some or DVR them all for later viewing.

Also from my experiences, very few fans stick around to watch the 12:30-2:30pm game.

If I had to guess, I’d say that there’s less than 25,000 people nationwide who watch all six hours straight.

Cheers,
The Gaffer
