Great article. Bobby Robson passed away today. A great ambassador for the game and an all round top bloke, A certain contender for Legends of English football for the future.

Good to see Sir Tom getting the praise he deserves:a truly great player, who as a winger, hasn’t been bettered. However the comment that
“the only thing that surprises people is his relative lack of goals in his career when his abilities are taken in account” is ridiculous:his strike rate compares most favourably with the likes of Best etc,and Finney played as a traditional winger, wide on the touchline for most of his career.Thirty goals for England from a winger’s position is brilliant:ever seen the goal stats of Barnes,Waddle
    etc?
