Given that he missed pretty much two thirds of the season through injuring himself falling over his dog I think Liam can be forgiven for a seemingly poor return. I think over a full season he may have been pushing for double figures. I’m guessing that this information regarding Lawrence’s enforced absence hasn’t escaped the borders of Stoke on Trent yet? Cracking picture though, any chance of getting a one off in a similar style of Gerry Taggart throttling Dennis Wise?.

Good article. It may be worth noting that Liam Lawrence and his lack of goals this season, following on from 14 last season, may be down to the fact that he has only had 45 minutes or so of Pre-Season followed by half a season disrupted by Injuries.

Liam tripped over his dog in setember and got a knee injury from it, ruling him out until February, in that respect, his 3 goals has been what would have been expected, if you give the 3/4 games used up getting him fit again

Bad omission on my part not mentioning the injury. But his quality definitely spoke volumes in his last two goals. I look forward to seeing what he can do with Stoke next season, (if nobody gobbles him up in the transfer window).
