Todd,

Differing opinions are always welcome. And I appreciate your feedback.

I had to step out of the EPL Talk Chat before Rooney's goal for the interview with Ian Plenderleith. I watched it on telly, though, and it was a throughly well taken goal by Rooney. Everything he did prior to that, though, was poor. His touch was awful. Albeit, he was heavily marked and wasn't allowed much time on the ball.

Still, congratulations to Rooney and United. This has been some week for both.

Cheers,
The Gaffer

i dont know gaffer...you were saying rooney was having a poor game but he came out very good in the second half. you were saying it didnt look like he could buy a goal...but i think that just reflected his many chances. his goal wasnt a moment of excellence..he was due that goal from all the work he was doing. i think its not a coincidence that you left the chat around the same time rooney really started playing well. i will give you he wasnt playing well the first half though.

just a different take on the game though
