Don’t forget that Ronaldo was hurt at the beginning of the year and hasn’t scored as many – or that Berbatov has failed to score half as many as he did last year.

I really think that we’d have scored more this year if Tevez had received Berba’s playing time, but I trust in Fergie’s plan.

We do need to get Tevez signed, though!

The fact that we held onto the title this year without playing our heart out or to be frank even playing at half the capacity we did the previous year with an inferior and smaller squad says a lot.

I think your looking at the team thats going to dominate English and European football for the next several years. Of course never counting Chelsea out of this their just too good and they’ve certainly proven themselves capable these last few years but I think if Manchester United can play as bad as they have this season and be in this position if they played like they did the previous season with the advantages they enjoy now they’d be quite literally unstoppable.

I think Manchester United will walk up and down other teams next season but I’m worried about Chelsea. Their always a thorn in our side and this season if the right shuffling takes place that thorn is only going to get bigger. Otherwise Liverpool can’t challenge a broken United their chance to win has gone and Arsenal are lead by the amazing Wenger but they need a few years to become untouchable again.

I really think that Liverpool are closer than Chelsea. They have a very strong starting 11, are relatively young, and have two world-class talents in Gerrard and Torres. Their primary flaws are an over-reliance on G&T and a lack of quality depth. A few smart moves in the transfer market this summer could have them nipping at our heels.

Chelski are on the downturn, and I don’t see Roman Abramovich spending another $250m to fix the squad this summer. Didn’t he lose like half of his assets this year? Those Russian magnates are going broke left and right – most of them are over-leveraged and its only a matter of time before the house of cards falls down.

As to their existing squad, they’re talented for sure, but they’re getting very old. They have too many egos in the locker room, and it takes a “special” kind of manager to control that kind of a squad. If Hiddink comes back they’ll do well for another year or two, otherwise I think they’re headed for a sharp decline.
