Joe Kinnear took on a tough situation and did his best. But it’s time to get a proper, experienced manager in who can be a long term solution for the Toon. I wish Joe the best but to me, he was always a temporary solution until someone more qualified could be brought in. Now is the time to do that, if we can.

It seems to be that Ashley doesn’t have a choice but to let the already in place coaching staff take over until Kinnear is healthy again.

Depending on which way you look at this, Kinnear came in to the club, as BC said and took on a tough situation, and look where it’s gotten him, in hospital, Ashley is now safe to leave things as they are, which is to let the coaching staff get on with looking after the coaching/managerial affairs, if anything they can use Kinnear being in hospital as a rallying call to the players, after all, it’s those guys that have to start winning games, not the manager, and if they can’t start winning for their ill-stricken manager, they don’t deserve to stay up.

    Good article by the way.
