In reaction to 'My first and last visit to Arsenal's Highbury'

It was great to read your article, as a neutral fan to have such passion for my clubs old place of football worship! I am also fascinated by stadiums, a magical place to visit on matchdays and quite surreal when empty and quite. I am also very biased when I regard Highbury as one of the most magical I have visited!

I have been an Arsenal fan since I can remember, thanks to my dad, taking me at 3 years old. It was a very sad day when Highbury played out it's last competitive game. I was lucky enough to go to that very last game, my dad again kind enough to share in the experience and let me have his seat.

I am a graphic designer / photographer by profession and so in return for his generosity I decided to create something special in memory of the old place. Since then I decided to try and sell the end product (slightly adapted) appropriately named 'Highbury montage' to fellow gooners.

I am guessing you are probably not an Arsenal fan and so your desire to own one of my prints would not be that great. However, I would appreciate it if you could pass the good word on to those that might.

I do hope you don't take offence to this post. It is not just a shameless plug to sell my prints, but the 'Highbury Montage' itself is a real attempt at capturing all that is magical on a matchday. Not only that but it has inspired me to attempt to capture similar projects for other stadiums around the country, the series would capture all that is magical within our game...so watch this space.

Please visit www.fidgitaldesign.co.uk/thof to view the montage and five other unique views of Highbury and it's surroundings!

All the best
Martin (redNwhiteUpNauf)
