A photograph has been leaked of West Ham United’s new away football shirt for the 2009-10 season.
Pictured above, the new away shirt is black with a sky blue strip down the middle of the shirt. The new West Ham away kit is designed and manufactured by Umbro and sponsored by SBOBET.
The new shirt is almost identical to the 2008-2009 away shirt for Blackburn Rovers, also designed by Umbro. The only major difference are the colors.

It could possibly be OK once we see the entire thing – however i find it strange that they have chosen black (as described) which 2bh makes me think its a fake, its also nothing like the offical new umbro sunderland shirt template which after this session i would have thought we would follow.
That’s not black, it’s Navy Blue. Our away kit is due to be navy blue next season, so this could be legit.

I think it is horrendous. It does not look like any West ham shirt from the past. Why dont the fans have a say in the design and colours as we will be expected to buy the replicas.

it looks ok. might work. you cannot really judge it by having a glimpse of it like this. the only way you really can judge it is by having it close up to ya or seeing the players wear it on the field

Terrible shirt (might be better in the flesh but doubt it). Gotta be navy blue, we dont have a history of straying from the traditional blue or white away colours like the spuds. Only positive is at least the sponsors logo now looks part of the shirt as opposed to those embarrassing over the top patches currently being worn.

Have to i say i actually fink it is a quite nice shirt, will be navy blue though rather than black, but in fairness to others who dislike it, last year when our home shirt was leaked it didnt look to great from the glimpse, but when it came out it was relli a great shirt.

Bland and unimaginative. Sad when designer or client thinks that making the collar asymmetrical is the strongest available design statement they can make. If so the first statement that comes to mind is ‘cheap and nasty’. Of course we know that it may look cheap, but in reality will be anything but.
good but i thought our away kit was navy blue and light blue alternative seasons and i thought our goalie kit was black.i rate it 8/10.

it’s a fake. you can tell, umbro aren’t using that material shirt any more, well, nobody is using that material any more so it’s a fake, also look at the neck it looks heavy.

looks fake, dont really know what to believe and to be honest dont really care but i think this shirt is an absolute mountain of s**t!!!!! only navy shirt i’ve liked was the di canio vs barthez 1. thought this seasons sky blue kit was nice, like the old ones but with a bit of a twist. its definately time to bring in the white with claret and blue hoops round the chest. also who remembers the white and light blue stripes with claret collar and B A C on the front (dagenham motors the next season, when we went down 91/92), that kit was the t**s.

I hope umbro read this bit . Make west ham an emergency 3rd shirt and make it white and navy blue without the big stipe.

The obisidian colour acctualy suits that kit, it makes it look more beautiful!! I would prefer the away kit as either white and/or sky blue. The large sky blue stripe with the white outline makes the kit a bit worse than what i though it woud have been. i have to say the kit is ok-ish.
