Poor Newcastle. It’ll be a shame if they do go down.

I hope they at least keep Shearer as the manager if they do. It’d be great to see him battle his way back up from the Championship and do better in the EPL after some experience.

the absolute state of you commenting on Newcastle, what gives you that right? so much of this article is full of ways to have sly digs at newcastle.

” furthermore Shearer’s tactical nous must also be called into question, Duff at left back” – right firstly i’d say you don’t even know that our ONLY left back, Enrique pulled his hamstring last weekend. Does it not make sense to drop the left mid who is left footed back?

“Joey Barton from centre midfield to right wing is baffling, and may have been a factor in his sending off.” – so your telling me that its Alan Shearers fault that our convict can’t control himself. Barton is being paid more for that game then the 3,500 Geordies who packed the away end are in a year.

For that money he should be able to adapt, not shearers fault but of course have a dig.

“Shearer decides he is not good enough for the first eleven.” – owen didnt fit into the system he wanted to employ, alright carp journalism.

“somewhat distressing for the fans.” – not one newcastle fan expected a result and the fact we played well in patches is slightly encouraging for monday.

“it coincidence that their new kit does not feature the Premier League logo, I think not.” – how f$$$$$g ridiculous is that. NO TEAM and i repeat NO TEAM would put the logos on when we’re 18th. how cocky and arrogant would that seem!

basically your article is a joke, bit like my team but at least the team has a future in football unlike yours in journalism.

    good day to you

It is sad for me to see newcastle go down this season, but i think it will most likely happen. It is too bad as Shearer was one of the best — but he cannot be brought in to save this sinking ship. I hope they can stay up, but they should keep playing their strengths..not switch systems around every game. Shearer knows this I’m sure. With one win vs Middlesbr and Fulham, they will stay up. I hope they can pull off their own miracle this year.
