I think he did the right thing commiting very little to attack to reduce any sort of counter attack opportunity which is practically handing Barcelona the win.

Now their playing a side that couldn’t beat them at home in Stamford Bridge which has Chelsea written all over it.

Plus keep in mind football isn’t about making opportunities as it is about what you can do with the limited opportunities you do have.

Chelsea didn’t have as much quantity when it came to shots on the goal or ball possession but their quality is unquestionably higher.

I think Chelsea is in real trouble here. They can’t play the same game they did at Camp Nou. They have to attack, yet losing one player in the back to defend should allow Barca to put one in. It took everything they had, plus some good saves by Cech, plus luck that Ballack didn’t get sent off, to get past Barca. They need more. Ashley Cole will be back but, Bosingwa did ok against Messi. Eto’o looked pretty bad and Krkic should’ve been on much earlier. If they Chelski goes 4-4-2 Barca will put one in. No doubt about it. Blues need to get one early (within 20 minutes) and play just like they did Tuesday. That’s their only hope.

On another note, I just started reading your blog and I have to say, it’s really good. A fresh take on the EPL. Thanks and keep it up!
