    wow…that is a brutal start to the year for Burnley…. if they get off to a slow start (likely) how will there young team respond? You wonder if they’ll be a little demoralized if results don’t go there way, and that might effect them in matches following those first five.

    I went the match in Portland against the Timbers A USL team (the American 2nd division), it ended up 2-2 I know it was just a friendly, but Burnley did not look very impressive even though they had pretty much their first team on the pitch for most of the 2nd half. Although I am a fan of the Portland Timbers they are a far cry from an EPL side. Hopefully they will survive, I remember watching them when they were in the old first division as a kid in England when they came to play West Ham in the sixties. It’s nice to see the really old original teams come back to the top tier of football. Go Timbers in 2011
