Interesting and well written piece on TV and the Prem. What is of interest is that the author claims that attendance spiked once the games went off of free TV. In America it has been different, put your games on free TV and the crowds come. Tonight, I attended a dinner at which the President of the NHL Chicago Blackhawks spoke. He said that Chicago will lead the league in attednence this year, after putting all of their games on TV, many on free TV for the first time! The Chicago Cubs are the most popular MLB team in Chicago because they were on free TV for decades whilel the White Sox were at times over the years not available for free.

We have spoken here that outside of the big teams, seats at Prem games are not impossible to get. So, I would ask the guest author to clarify is statement about audience turnout at games. One of the best written posts every!
