krakow stadium Spurs Warn Fans About Wisla Krakow Stadium

No this isn’t a view from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. It’s the obstructed view for away fans at Wisla Krakow’s stadium in Poland.

Tottenham Hotspur will be playing their second leg of their UEFA Cup first round match against Wisla Krakow on October 2nd. Spurs has warned fans to expect severely restricted views of the pitch from the away section. Judging by the above picture, Tottenham is doing its fans a favor by warning them ahead of time of the conditions at the Wisla Stadium.

It’s hard to believe that such awful conditions still exist at stadiums these days. Fences to segregate fans and keep them from invading the pitch were removed from English stadiums after the Taylor Report was published in 1989 and 1990.

Sometimes we forget how obstructed views, pens and security fences ruined our views of football matches in the 70’s and 80’s. I remember watching standing at the bottom of the terraces on Swansea’s North Bank, peering through the fence to see the action on the pitch. At the time, I thought it was normal but now that experience would be a rarity. Thankfully.

Away fans section is at the close and.

First rule in Cracow. You are not looking for troublem you will not find them. Simple as that. Nobody has any joy in attacing tourists. such as THFC fans.

you guys are stupid, that fence is for your safety. In Krakow home fans hurt and kill other fans, so you should be glad that your section is secured by high fence and guards. Author of this article is an idiot!

Nobody will kill them as you say. If they don't look for trouble, they will not be harmed in any way. Fences are there to meet the local guidelines to keep the home and away fans separeted. I don't expect any trouble at the stadium. In my opinion English fans are more likely to get themselves in trouble out in the city.

“Did u know, that Cracow’s teams are Jews ?”

Did you know that you have no idea what you’re saying!
Get your facts right. The only team in Kraków that has jewish roots is Cracovia.
Wis?a from the very beginning in 1906 is Polish, and has nothing to do with Jews.
