On the episode of the EPL Talk podcast we move from the action on the pitch to the events surrounding the game, and there is no better person to talk about that than Pitch Invasion’s Tom Dunmore. Tom joined me for this edition of the show to talk about the movements pushing for ownership changes at Old Trafford and Anfield, Then, we talk about some issues surrounding the future of football blogging and the role Tom sees Pitch Invasion playing – be it through new projects or continued consideration of the course being traveled by the football blogging world.

Don’t forget that the EPL Talk Podcast is the only Premier League interview and analysis podcast available for free. In the past few weeks, we’ve interviewed legends of the game such as Dwight Yorke, Andrew Cole, Steve McManaman, Gary O’Reilly and Robbie Earle as well as experts such as Declan Hill, Simon Kuper, Misha Sher, Andy Brassell, Tim Vickery and many others. Why pay $40 a year to rival podcasts when you can subscribe to the EPL Talk Podcast for FREE featuring interviews with the biggest names in football?

In the world of technology, the top sites aren’t magazines or newspapers. They’re blogs. Web sites such as TechCrunch, Engadget and Boing Boing lead the way with the latest breaking news and analysis, as well as receiving more visitors than some of the giants in tech publishing.

While soccer blogs aren’t in the same echelon as tech blogs, it’s only a matter of time. Two examples this week of how soccer blogs are pushing the envelope by covering topics that mainstream media have yet to catch on to are featured on two of my favorite blogs, Pitch Invasion and 101 Great Goals.

I’ll let the two articles speak for themselves. The first one is by guest writer Terry Daley who writes about the politics of working behind the scenes with Chelsea Football Club. The second article is about Rio Ferdinand being questioned by police in Israel. They’re both must-read articles.
