Some of us don’t even have a choice to watch anywhere else as on p2p. Here in Slovenia a group of minor TV stations have rights for EPL, but they broadcast only one match every week. So if I want to watch how my favourite club plays, I have to watch it on p2p.

There are also few pubs with SkySports, but even there is hard to get every match.

The pub atmosphere is the best. I watched most of WC2006 in pubs and last season’s United vs. Liverpool.

But my local pub is 50 minutes away. A regular American sports bar is only 10 minutes away. Not exactly down the street.

I think that the pub atmosphere is definitely something that is missing from watching the Premiership in the States. There is a je ne sais crois about having the match on in the evening and the communal aspect. All of us sitting at home by ourselves on a Saturday morning with a cup of coffee is a bit depressing.
