Hard to argue with that, Richard. I couldn’t believe that Tevez didn’t immediately round on Berbatov to thank him for such excellent service. Without the Bulgarian’s Bergkamp-esque piece of over-the-shoulder control, I doubt that sequence would have led to a goal.

handbags from two players on their way out the door…Fergie needs them to secure the trophies this season and then they can piss off!
Fergies comment basically saying that a lad that tries hard can be forgiven for other things, seems to me to be alluding to something broken with Tevez and that he, like Beckham, Stam, Van Nistelroy et al have reached the point of no return and are off.
Ronaldo will be missed for sure…but let him head off to Madrid with best wishes…Berba must be a beast in practice to have shown Tevez to be surplus to requirements….I don’t see it myself to be honest, but will defer to SAF on this one

If Sir Alex does NOT retire after this season, he would be the biggest idiot in the “football” world.

Now that Berbatov, C. Ronaldo, and Tevez are on their way out of Old Trafford, there is only one direction Man Utd will be headed in the 2009-2010 season: DOWN.

Man Utd is heavily in debt and its next shirt sponsorship deal may not be as lucrative as the one AIG signed before it imploded and had to be taken over by the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank.

Top article rich, minor point, Chapman’s great Arsenal side was in the 30′s, he was at Huddersfield Town in the 20′s with the WM that terrorised sides first. ;)
