People need to realize that Everton is not some small club, just happy to be in the top half of the table. Everton are one of the most prized and historic clubs in England. We were winning the league and conquering Europe in the late 80′s, but then went on a slide when England was banned from European competition. Some clubs recovered, we had trouble doing so. But MOyes has brought Everton back into respectability and has us going in the right direction. HE DOESN’T NEED TO GO TO A NEW CLUB!! And I don’t believe he will.

Everton will be sold sooner rather than later. Right now many of those things have been on hold while the stadium in Kirkby gets settled, which should be settled one way or another around June. When that gets settled it is very likely that new investment will come to the club, as both the current shareholders and prospective investors would want to wait and see what the reappraised value of the club would be with approval for a new stadium vs having to refurbish Goodison Park. Moyes will be given all the funds he needs when that happens and then we will see how far Everton can go. But the point is that Everton is not a Wigan or Fulham, overachieving and recent success stories, with all due respect to those clubs for what they have accomplished and on two very good seasons in the premiership this year. Everton are just lacking that big financier, but that will be coming very soon. Once that happens, Moyes would have no reason to jump ship to some “big” club who would not have accepted a slow start like the one he had this season and a few years back. He knows he’s in a great spot right now, he’s going nowhere.

John Smith…hahaha “Big boys circling my arse” kindda scary thought!!! but ya I’d agree with David. What’s this bullshit about small club and big club??? I have recently heard that Newcastle ‘s big club.!!! look where they stand??
So how do you define big club and small club? in terms of financial value ??or performance? the size of fan ? terms or record??? History??
Football has changed . It’s a big business now compared to what it used to be in the past. Sure Everton have suffered in the past but they survived!!! Now they revive!!! If you look at Moyes’s record in comparison to point per pounds, Everton by are the biggest club!!! so if you are to write please don’t come up with shits like big boys, small clubs and big clubs!!! I’m sure Man city is a big club now in some ways. So should Everton have an investor likes of Man city or Chelsea…. I still don’t think they would become a big boy out of sudden and circle around some arses!!! Everton are club with passionate supporters and rich history in English football. Respect that and let history play its part!!
