I agree. I think Hart is probably in the best form, at present, but I don’t believe that Capello is a risk-taker especially defensively.

With that in mind, he’ll go James, Green and Hart. What would we do now for a Seaman, Flowers or even a Woods, let alone a Banks, Shilton or Clemence.

The only thing consistent about James is the inevitable and potentially disastrous mistakes.
Green is the best keeper in the fold, His problem is that he wants out of Upton Park, and is not really concerned with West Ham atm. Therefor cannot be arsed into giving a toss about his form.
Hart is a fantastic young keeper, and should be taken. Brum has been a good place for him.
    Carson and Foster? No thanks.
I’d go for Green, Hart, Kirkland.
He’ll pink James ahead of Kirkland, though.

Yes, I noticed that Green’s been agitating for a move for a while now, but where would he go? He’s certainly had a bit of wobble, but you probably see a lot more of him than I do. Arsenal? Chelsea?

I doubt James will be involved with England after this summer, at 40, this has to be his final tournament, so it looks like a straight fight between Hart and Green for the number 1 jersey for the Euro 2012 qualifiers.

That is a good question. He’s good, but not top 4 quality, imo. United don’t need him. Arsenal don’t need him, and the frog hates English players, anyways…Chelsea don’t need him. Liverpool don’t need him. We aren’t selling to Spuds, Villa has two fantastic keepers in Friedel and Guzan. City doesn’t need him, either. The only way out is a sideways step. I Imagine if we can keep some clean sheets and have a good late run, he’ll sign a contract extension. The Hammers do love him, but he wants trophies. And, if West Ham don’t get that investment they need so badly, we won’t be playing in any cup finals.
On a side note-2006 FA Cup Final was the best I’ve ever seen.

Where was Joe Hart’s sporadic appearance as England number one? I must have missed that.

I think Joe Hart can be #1, Robinson #2 and Green #3
