    weird you include Rio Ferdinand as a lock even though he’s not fit, yet you don’t include Ashley Cole or Lennon, also locks if fit.

    I think that Ashley Young should definitely be looked at despite his off-pitch behaviour. While that spot of right mid has enough competition, it’s not like Young is weak on the left side, and he can deliver helluva crosses in too.

    How the hell is Beckham a lock and not Downing, Young, etc.? This fanboy obsession all England managers seem to have with Beckham is precisely why England lose…

    Beckham is hardly a lock in my opinion. I also am not sold on rio who hasn’t played much recently and has looked pretty poor when he has.

    Why does it even matter? Our lads are going to lose to the Americans anyways. We cannot expect to take Beckham and win.
