Very neatly written Ross. Although I am a Chelsea fan and would be more than happy to see Moyes be our manager next season but I think the only thing stopping him from managing a top club is his inexperience in Europe. I wouldn’t mind Everton winning the FA Cup and having a shot at the Champions League. If he can get this team maybe to the knock out phrase of the competition then we will how much the big clubs would want him.

As for Scotland producing great manager, you couldn’t be more right. One up coming manager who interests me the most is Alan Irvine who is in charge of Moye’s previous club. Maybe he could well be the next Scottish manager to make a name, could well be at Goodison Prak, making him the third Scot in a row.

I’m gonna have to agree with Sabbir here, great article and let’s hope Moyes has all the success he deserves in the future.

managers like moyes need success and this will be a huge challenge for him and the team, and i do hope he won’t move to chelsea. he has built a good-cum-great team there, why ditch them?

Gotta say Sabir, I never thought i’d see a Chelsea fan trying to say that an Everton manager needed to move to a big club to further his career, after reading this site quite a bit I’ve gotta say this is so damn biased towards the Sky 4.

Robert I never said Everton is a small club in fact before the Roman era Chelsea was a mid table club. By “big clubs” I meant the kinds of clubs who plays in the Europe on a regular basis. I am sure if Moyes can guide the team to Europe on a consistent basis then very soon Everton will once again be called a big club. And I don’t think Moyes needs to move to any of the big 4 to further his career. All he need is European experience with Everton in order to be acknowledge as a potential manager of Manchester United, Arsenal or Chelsea.

You’d have to include Dalglish and Graham’s names on that list of great Scottish managers too in my opinion.

Well us Yanks are happy to share the pride with Scotland. Moyes may yesterday have sealed any doubts about being one of the best managers in the EPL. For me as a fan of American’s in the EPL Moyes has been one of the skippers that I trust to do right by American players. You need not fear that he will try to convert the talent a Yank has brought to the game into a European style. Moyes lets the player use his natural talent at their best position. Maybe that is the key to his success, adapt your style to the talent you can get.

Why o Why would david moyes want to leave everton ? the man is GOD there, if he went to chelsea and had a rough patch! the russian one would discard him, leaving his CV in tatters, look at big phil- disgrace.
I think he just needs more investment at everton and hopefully can start challanging for a top 4 place.
everton for the FA cup, come on you royal blues!
