I agree with the posts above which say that Ramo's doesn't seem interested in doing that and also think the big problem is the language barriar. You need to be able to communicate with your team and get them fired up…

Ramo's is working, but he's not the only one. Get rid of Ramo's, Commoli, and while were at it Levy too! Then lets bring back Jol who on an interview I heard over the weekend said he loved the club and misses them and his old pad in the UK. Remember where he got us for 2 years in a row. I think with the control of the players under Jon we would have got into the top 4, but that will take some time to achive again now.

What? They are? Top? Ahead of Bayern? Oh, nevermind…

By the way, RKC Waalwijk, were a solid mid-table, sometimes higher club under Jol's guidance. Two seasons after he left , they were relegated.

So, I guess the real question is, seeing how Jol was let go so early last season, is this the first season without him, or the second?

There isn't a manager in the land who could make Spurs' current squad compete with the big-boys. Mid-table, possibly. But with goals only coming from mistaken linesmen (Stoke) and killer-balls played by opposition players (Lampard to Bent against Chelsea), Tottenham simply cannot hope to do well. It's the fault of Comolli, Levy, Ramos, and the players themselves. But blaming or driving out any of them will change nothing – we need strikers coming in. I don't understand why we didn't make some free transfers. Didn't Reading just ship out Lita on a free? Better to have a handful of average strikers than Pav (unproven in the Prem, and looks like he doesn't care whether he stays or goes) Bent (doesn't like the ball to feet, so is completely incompatible with our midfield) and Frazer-Campbell (United youngster, who's just here for experience). Surely better to get as many players as possible who are willing to fight for a first team place? But no, the board don't want to pay a player if they're not likely to turn a profit.

The old saying goes that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The 4-1-4-1 formation is not working. He keeps trying it expecting that this time Spurs will score. They won't. And if Pavs was fit enough to play the whole second half, why didn't he start up front with Bent in the first half? Spurs need more not less striking options up front for the *entire* match.

How about giving some other players a chance? Where is Hudds? Where is Taarabt? Dos Santas? Spurs need to take some chances, and that means taking a chance on players other than JJ and Zokora. Ramos seems unwilling or unable to take such risks or chances even in desperate times such as these.

Substitutions: Bentley was finally playing with some fire yesterday, but was taken off the pitch. This has happened before when other players are having good games. Ramos keeps putting his strategy above “reading” the players on the pitch. Strategy must be built upon performance, not the other way around. Finally, all this talk about firing Ramos would be a disaster is complete BS. It is *already* a disaster.

True, Ramos was not helped by Comoli and Levi in the summer. But ya know what, you coach and manager the team you have, not the team you want to have. What's Ramos going to do, lose every game until January because he doesn't have the “right” players?

Ramos is not personally or emotionally connecting with the players for whatever reason. He is repeatedly forcing a style of play that is not working. He has lost the confidence of the fans. He has lost discipline over his players. Spurs are staring relegation in the face. Ramos has got to go.
