I think Pennant is nothing more than a mid table prem player, therefore Pompey is about his level. As far as Marlon King goes, I hope he does well for both his sake, spent most of his time in lower leagues, and for boro's sake, as i like how they run their club and give youth a chance but I cant see that working. Mido is a wildcard but playing everyweek and with Zaki may just get the best out of him again.

My two cents (or is it two pence) is that I can't believe Fulham wouldn't meet Jimmy Bullard's wage demands. It's a huge loss for Fulham and a massive gain for Hull. Bullard is one of the most reliable and hard-working English midfielders in the game.

I disagree with a couple of your estimations. I would put Marlon King in 'The Good' category. I've always rated him. I would put Mido in 'The Bad' category. He may shine for a couple of games, but he's a waste of space. Poor move by Wigan there, I believe. And I also feel that Jermaine Pennant should be moved into 'The Bad' category. It's going to take too long for him to regain his form after not playing for ages for Liverpool.

Cheers,
The Gaffer

To be fair to King he's been unlucky with injuries. He was class at Watford in helping them get promoted and then within a few weeks of his first Premier League season with the Hornets he got a serious injury and was out for that whole season. I think its worth a gamble for Boro, Alves is hardly banging them in.
