I wish American sporting events didn't constantly blare music at every momentary pause in the action and tell fans when to cheer over the jumbtron... but thank heavens we don't have mascots for the competitions themselves. These weird abominations against nature that show up at the Olympics and the World Cup and Euro are lamer than lame. I shudder at the very thought of the Superbowl or World Series having a one off mascot (or even the World Baseball Classic for that matter). “Mascots are always a funny thing.
