Setanta Sports will debut Setanta Sports News in North America on January 1, 2008. The news program will be aired at 5pm, 10pm and 1am eastern time.
The news program is the same Setanta Sports News that launched in the UK on November 29, 2007. The 24/7 rolling news channel is a joint venture between Virgin Media Television and Setanta Sports, and is produced by ITN.
Watch Setanta Sports News online before it premieres. It’s essentially a rip-off of Sky Sports News and the popular format that they broke ground with in the 90s. Looks like Setanta has gone for a familiar format instead of being original.
