Some Spurs fans DO think we ‘have a chance’ of breaking into the Top 4. This is not a romantic predisposition, though that certainly helps. This is actually based on some hard reasoning. Firstly, I do not necessarily believe that our first 11 is better than United, Chelsea, Liverpool or THEM. I do think that ourselves, Villa, Everton and Citeh can take points off of them (Liverpool have already lost to ourselves and Villa, Citeh beat THEM). Coupled with this is the fact that all teams do drop points (United have lost to Burnley, and dropped points at home to Sunderalnd, Chelsea have lost to Wigan). We also have an excellent squad – even pundits who are traditionally dismissive of Spurs have acknowledged this. So it is going to be a lot closer than in recent years IMHO – and the closer it gets, the later in the season, the more the stress is gonna tell on the ‘Big 4′. Secondly, ‘Arry has actually inherited a very good squad, built at some expense over a few seasons. What he has done is to ‘fill it out’, give it more balance, and brought in that invaluable asset, morale – he has created an excellent team ethos.
I do not accept that it will be a disaster if we don’t break into the Top 4 this season, and I do not believe it is a formality. Likewise, I wouldn’t dismiss our chances, certainly not at this stage of the season.

Agree with you there Sean,I think it started last season if you look at how close it was points wise from say,the team in seventh all the way down to the bottom,
Now this season it will more than likely involve the teams above seventh,I’m not saying the traditional top four will be involved in a relegation struggle, but those teams below them will as you say take more points off them than usual, this will in turn give ourselves and the likes of Man City a fare crack of the whip in challenging their usual dominance.
So for me if we can become a little more consistent in a positive manner and win or draw against those teams we usually lose to especially away from home, then I really and truly believe we could win this league.

Hi wish this could happen but sadly it wont not because of our squad or the injurys even not even Harrys selections like cudicini in goal. What must Gomes think the saves he made at Preston proved what hi allredy new he would have halfed if not more of the twelve goals we have conceded if he had played or playing TOM with Bassong who leaned on King when the ready made dawson sat on the bench tom and bassong get mauled by a rugby player 14 half stone Davies that had that much energey he was red from the neck upwards .Even not playing Defoe and keane and crouch together and lastly not playing Bassong in out of form Ekotto place would have stopped Davies goal and Dawson may have stopped gardner we will never no .What is making me belive we wont make the big step up is a lack of this energey that Megsons team suddenly had wen we arrived because make no mistake if we went to Hull today we wouldent win 5-1 or if we played LIVERPOOL at home we wouldent beat them .Why you may ask TWO words HIGH ENERGEY .All these energey teams waited to see what would happen to the sheffeild goaly if he got a 2 year ban then he would have sung like a canary instead he got 9 months and a parcial pardon with his cough mixture excuse and what is manager came out with staggered me he said on sky sport it wouldent make him any better has a player its not a enhancer its pure speed MR BLACKWELL AND HELPED SOMONE HI NO TEAM WIN THREE PROMOTIONS PLAYING RUGBY LEAGUE this is why we wont beat the bolton s of our league at there ground it opened the flood gates again for teams to carry on topping up the energey.

This is great and all … until Harry leaves (possibly in handcuffs)
