Where Can I Find Spurs’ Third Shirt?

tottenham 08 09 third kit2 Where Can I Find Spurs Third Shirt?

If you’re a football fan hoping to find a brand-new Tottenham Hotspur third shirt under your tree this Christmas, prepare to be very disappointed.

Tottenham’s third shirt for the 2008/2009 season is the hardest football shirt to find. Period.

It’s completely sold out on the Tottenham Hotspur website. There are very limited sizes left in the Spurs shops at Enfield and Chelmsford. And it’s not available on Kitbag, Subside Sports or other online football retailers.

According to an employee from the Spurs shop, “The third kit has now sold out and we are not planning to have anymore.”

The question has to be asked whether Spurs underestimated how many of the shirts would be bought, or whether they purposefully sold limited quantities to create a demand in the marketplace.

And a demand is exactly what it has created. Since November 12, the UK version of eBay’s site has sold 29 third shirts for a total of £2,046.52 ($3,153.05), which means that the average Tottenham third shirt sold for £70.56 ($108.75).

When it was available, the Spurs third shirt retailed for £39.99 ($61.63). That means that now the shirts are selling on eBay on average for 76% more than what they retailed for!

The highest winning bid for the Tottenham third shirt has been £131.00 — an astounding $201.

At least the home and away shirts are still available.

I got my Spurs 3rd shirt for £39.99 from the Spurs store in Harlow, Essex and it's really nice, probably the best spurs shirt i've ever owned,

I got mine from the Spurs web site at the start of the season as I think it is by far the best looking Spurs shirt for years.

I would love a black away kit every year.

I should have learned my lesson when the brown/gold kit sold out in record time 2 seasons back. Oh well. Maybe they'll feel a bit of pressure like they did last time and make a few more.

first off its ugly…

second if you want to talk about desperate fans for kits, look no further then the East End, the cockneys. The real cockneys. .. West Ham without a sponsor have pulled all new kits from their online store. So before moaning North London wanna be big club fan moans about the lack of a idiotic third kit that looks like a Chelsea 5th kit anyway…

its really amazing what passes for news items around this part of the web.

Patrick, the West Ham shirts may not be available from the official West Ham website but they're still available on most of the major football retailer websites including World Soccer Shop.

Cheers,

sure why not get Get the Butka Kit with BAC windows from 91 off ebay.

might as well if your gonna buy a kit for 80 bucks with a logo for a company that doesn't exist like XL. at least you can still get your windows from BAC in Essex.
